Robinson Crusoe Hideaway

Thanks to the bold and bright interiors, this urban oasis radiates an abundance of energy, and yet for the busy family that call this their home, it also offers a tranquil and peaceful sanctuary that they can escape into.

An abstract wallpaper with a hand-painted pattern frames the stunning original French doors, adding a real sense of drama into the space and beyond into the garden outside. Local artisan touches were sought, with the jewel being a fluted glass pendant in a striking blue which evokes both the sky and ocean that more easily connect us to nature. Contemporary touches were applied in the cabinetry design, with rattan inlay, and hand-made elements introduced into the scheme through handle details. A forest green hue was applied once again to encourage an association to the outdoors.

This home, already blessed with so many beautiful original features, has really come to life with a considered selection of furnishings and an vibrant and inspiring palette.
